A Letter from Your DG
Dear Delegates and Faculty Advisers,
Greetings! We are ecstatic to welcome you to the 31st LAMP Invitational Model United Nations held at LAMP High School in Montgomery, Alabama. This year’s conference will be held from Wednesday, January 24 to Friday, January 26, featuring engaging committees that address nuclear war, drugs, refugees, WWII, and our first ever joint crisis committee, featuring the fantastical world of Lord of the Rings, chaired by some of the brightest seniors at LAMP High School.
Our time-honored tradition of LIMUN brings high schools from within Montgomery and throughout Alabama together to compete and engage in international diplomacy, addressing critical problems that plague the modern and historical world, developing public speaking skills, and expanding a global awareness that is integral in today’s society, all surrounded by peers that share your passions.
In its 31 years of existence, LIMUN has expanded to comprise over 600 delegates, and has been known to inspire and foster some of the greatest minds in the world of Model United Nations that have advanced to run conferences and committees in the collegiate level. Thanks to a brilliant and energetic secretariat, faculty, and staff, LIMUN has continued to provide a challenging, engaging conference for delegates year after year.
On behalf of the entire secretariat and administrative body of LAMP, we personally invite you to register for LIMUN, as this year’s conference will be the best yet. We have worked diligently to provide an outstanding experience for you, and we are so excited to welcome you to our school and city.
If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org. See you in January!
