Crisis ControlJessica LoHello, delegates! I am Jessica Lo, your LIMUN XXXIII Crisis Control Director.
To introduce myself, here is a small biography (that you may not actually read but here I go anyway). Besides enjoying the wonderful substance called sleep that I so sadly lose throughout the school week, I enjoy discussing about MBTI and going bowling, which is probably the only sport I am good at playing. I am very much a perfectionist and I tend to be too sarcastic at times. So, apologies in advance if either of these qualities results in awkwardnesscoming into play during committee. I enjoy watching the classic Friends and SVU, and To Kill a Mockingbird is my favorite book that I have been forced to read for school to this day. It is my first and only year being on the MUN traveling team, but I hope to learn from this new experience and use previous experiences at LIMUN to provide guidance to you all as you get to experience LIMUN XXXIII. Being able to experience my imagination come to life and impact others’ enjoyment through a relatively intense crisis is what influenced me to be part of Crisis Control both my sophomore and junior years. I hope this year’s committee will serve the same purpose or at least provide an enjoyable experience of LIMUN for all of you. Crisis Control may seem simple if you just look at the surface, but it truly requires your great creativity and articulation for it to run smoothly. Having to use eloquent words in multiple sentences to describe scenarios that could be described in just one sentence is difficult; having to explain to a delegate why he or she cannot harm another without reasonable intent through a Crisis Note is even more difficult. I hope that these tasks have intrigued you and allow you to consider joining Crisis Control for LIMUN XXXIII. Sincerely, Jessica Lo |
