FDR's Security Council
Hi, I am Varun Kosgi, and I will be chairing the Security Council Committee of LIMUN XXXI. Considering this is the best of all the committees offered at LIMUN, I have high expectations for you all. Years past have consisted of the most intense, carefree tackling of the world's most pressing problems in an unscripted, freeform fashion where every action we take has a reaction. Think playing RISK except with a historical or contemporary background. Enough about the committee -- I'm sure you are more interested in me, considering that's why you are thinking about doing SC in the first place. I have been doing MUN since freshman year, traveling with LAMP’s team and gaining experience and knowledge about the MUN process, even though none of that will matter in Security Council this year when we adopt directives and executive orders in lieu of working papers and boredom. When I am not MUNing, I partake in other activities provided to me by school, including public forum debate and cross country. Both of these two events, especially the latter, have instilled a belief in me that reason is the ultimate source of all knowledge, so if you refuse to use reason in SC, I will laugh. Looking forward to flexin’ our world dominance with you!
